Our Christmas Decorations

Evan and Amy's Christmas tree
Evan and Amy’s Christmas tree

This week we made Christmas trees.  We made them out  of toilet rolls. We each needed fourteen toilet rolls. We painted four of them brown and the rest of them green.

Then we stuck  four together for the base, three and two for the middle and one for the top. We decorated it with pom-poms and pipe cleaners. We stuck the pom-poms in the toilet rolls and the pipe cleaners around the tree. You could use other things to decorate it as well. We waited for it to dry, then we had a Christmas tree! 🙂

Evan’s Halloween Treat

Posted by EvanF On October - 25 - 2013

Frankenstein will be mine as soon as he awakes from his shrine,
He’ll dine with me in a boat on the sea,
Lucky me!

Now you know what’s going to happen,
I hope we don’t meet the Krakken,
That would be bad and it would make me sad,
I would go crying,
But don’t worry I’ll be fine.

I Wish I Was a Witch

Posted by AmyH On October - 25 - 2013

I wish I was a witch,
a vampire with a glitch,
a Frankenstein as a friend who has a big long stitch.

For the witch doesn’t care
She has long black hair,
A nice white mare to ride around the town,
while she gives a little frown.

We’re hoping for a full moon, the witch will fly up into the sky soon.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

Saint Brigid Crosses!

Posted by Justin On February - 7 - 2013

Saint Brigid is one of Ireland’s patron saints along with Saints Patrick and Columba. On her Feast Day (February 1st) we made Saint Brigid’s crosses. Adam and Jamie brought in the rushes. We enjoyed making them and there was a cross for each family to take home
